Here, we share selected leather pieces that we are currently developing. Pieces already available can be found in our Shop. When an upcoming piece is open for crowdfunding, you will find it at the bottom of this page. When none is shown, it simply means we are still working on what may come next.

How We Bring a New Piece to Life

Creating new leather pieces is one of the parts of our work we enjoy most. We enjoy exploring different ways of doing things—adding a little more character to a design, creating something a little different from what is usually seen, and finding a more natural way for something to work.

Making something different is satisfying, but being different alone is not enough. It should also be meaningful. We believe each leather piece should have a reason to exist and a purpose to serve. The materials should feel right, the construction should support lasting use and the finished piece should bring genuine value to the person carrying it.

For this reason, we may use crowdfunding for selected upcoming pieces. It allows people who genuinely value the same piece to come together and help bring it to life.

We Begin by Doing the Work

Before inviting you to become part of the journey, we develop the design, create physical samples and refine the details with our leatherworking partner. 

The final sample is completed and approved before the campaign begins. Its design, dimensions, leather, hardware, construction and included accessories are confirmed, so you can clearly understand what you are pledging for.

We share photographs and videos of the actual sample, together with its specifications, price and estimated delivery time. You can see the actual piece and understand what to expect before deciding whether it feels right for you.

Why We Chose This Approach 

As a small leather business, developing a new leather piece without knowing whether people genuinely want it can leave good leather, time and resources tied to something that may never be used or valued.

Rather than moving ahead with a new leather piece and simply hoping people will want it, we first look for interest from people who genuinely want to carry it. Crowdfunding gives us a responsible way to understand that interest and reach the goal needed for the piece to become available.

When you choose to back the campaign by pledging for the piece, it shows us that the design has earned its place. Your pledge helps us reduce unnecessary inventory and avoid having quality leather pieces made that may never fulfil their purpose. It allows us to continue researching and developing leather pieces.

We focus on creating pieces that people enjoy, rather than simply filling a collection.

When a Campaign Succeeds

When the campaign reaches its goal, we move forward with our leather working partner using the leather, hardware and construction shown in the completed piece. 

Throughout the process, you will receive progress updates and tracking when your piece is dispatched. We will stay in touch so you know where things stand.

The Value of Your Pledge

Working directly with our leather working partner and understanding genuine interest in advance helps us plan the making, inventory and shipping more efficiently. It allows us to reduce costs that do not add value to the piece itself and pass those savings on to you. More importantly, by pledging for the piece, you become part of its journey and help make it possible.

We know our leather pieces may not be inexpensive. Good leather, dependable hardware and durable construction carry a real cost. Even so, we believe the price should reflect what genuinely goes into each piece, offer honest value and not be needlessly out of reach.

When a Campaign Does Not Reach Its Goal

Not every design will connect with enough people to move forward, and we understand that this is part of the process.

If that happens, the piece will not be made, and you will not be charged. We will take what we have learned, review the design and consider whether it should be refined and revisited in the future.

What We Can Make Possible Together

When you choose to pledge for a piece, it reflects a genuine appreciation for it and a shared belief in the value it can bring. Your pledge helps make the piece available and allows our small business to continue developing leather pieces with quality, character and purpose.

When the piece eventually becomes part of someone’s work, travels or everyday life, the people who believed in it will always be part of how it began and why it became possible.
